WIW yesterday

*Perry Ellis belted back jacket
*'50s Dacron tie
*Overcoat custom made in Japan in 1964
*RL trousers
*AE shoes
*Penny's scarf
*'40s Lee fedora

I really like this tie. I estimate it's from the 1950s "Bold Look" era and it has wide stripes as well as a smaller herringbone pattern within the stripes. The Dacron polyester makes it soft and pliable, unlike later polyester ties from the 1970s.

Just found your blog and think it's great. I too like to wear fedoras and and nice suits. I think it's sad that when a young man,such as myself, wants to dress up and look good people stiar and and start to laugh. I wish I could wear a suit everyday, but seeing as how I still go to high school that is seemingly impossible. Especially in todays society, where baggy pants and untied shoes are popular. I hope that someday in the near future people will wake up and discover how to dress. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see more. Hope you talk about hat's agian.
